Join Wayne Madsen for this Black Tie Event at the Opening Dinner in Wayne’s Testimonial Year. The evening will consist of a four-course dinner, guest speaker Micheal Vaughan, Live Music and Disco.
Michael Vaughan one of the outstanding Test batsmen of his generation and still is England’s most successful captain, he will forever be remembered as the man who ended 18 years of hurt.
When Vaughan kissed the famous urn at The Oval in 2005, he had become the first skipper to lead England to an Ashes series victory since Mike Gatting in 1987.
That thrilling, unforgettable Ashes summer was the highlight of a career which took Vaughan, an elegant right-handed opening batsman for Yorkshire and England, to the top of the world rankings in 2003 and brought him over 5,700 Test runs at an average above 41 with 18 centuries.
He captained his country in 51 of his 82 Tests, winning a record 26 of them.
Since retiring as a player in 2009, Vaughan has made a new career as a cricket pundit whose opinions, whether on TV, radio or in print, are always worth listening to.
