If you are coming down to The 3aaa County Ground this summer to see Little Mix, chances are you are a big fan. But do you know all there is to know about the world’s biggest girl band?
To help you get to know the girls better, here are 10 interesting facts about the girl band taking over the world.
Fact 1:
In 2011, the band was once originally called Rhythmix. However, this was altered to Little Mix as the name Rhythmix was already taken by a children’s charity.
Fact 2:
Jade competed in two previous seasons of the X Factor before being selected to be one-quarter of Little Mix. She auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 and 2010 but got eliminated at Bootcamp stage.
Fact 3:
Perrie doesn’t actually have a sense of smell.
Fact 4:
‘Cannonball’, the debut single, hit the top of the British charts and shot to top of the Irish Singles Chart.
Fact 5:
Jesy has a strange phobia: she’s afraid of sandwiches.
Fact 6:
Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US.
Fact 7:
The group won Best British Single for ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ at the 2017 Brit Awards; they have also received several other awards during their career, including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards.
Fact 8:
On 20 November 2011, Little Mix became the first girl group in the show’s eight-year history to progress past the seventh live show on The X Factor.
Fact 9:
In May 2012, Little Mix launched a Union Flag-themed pack of M&M’s and performed at the M&M’s World store in London.
Fact 10:
In March 2014, Little Mix teamed up with BeatBullying, the largest anti-bullying organisation in Europe. The quartet is backing the anti-bullying media campaign “The Big March” and the #DeleteCyberbullying project.
