Ex-England and British Lions rugby star Rob Andrew MBE will be chatting about his new autobiography and taking part in a Q&A at The 3aaa County Ground this June.

As part of the annual Derby Book Festival, Andrew, who is now Chief Executive at Sussex County Cricket Club, will talk about his life in sport, both as a player and administrator,

Andrew played 71 times for England and enjoyed a 14-year professional career, lifting the English Premiership with Newcastle Falcons in 1998.

He was a fly-half, scoring a total of 396 international points and winning three Grand Slams. Following his playing career, he was appointed by the RFU to undertake the post of Director of Elite Rugby to oversee all aspects of representative rugby in England, from the regional academies to the full senior side.

Before making a career in Rugby Union, Andrew was a talented cricketer, appearing in 17 first-class matches for Cambridge University MCCU. A left-handed batsman and right arm off-break bowler, he scored one first-class century, hitting 101 not out against Nottinghamshire in July 1984.

Returning to the game two years ago at Sussex, he comes to The 3aaa County Ground to talk about his life in professional sport and his new autobiography ‘The Game of My Life’.
