Sir Elton John brought an unofficial end to the summer with two glorious performances that set alight the nation’s capital.
Elton, who will be performing at The 3aaa County Ground on Sunday 4 June 2017, opened the 10th Apple Music Festival at the Roundhouse in London on Sunday night.
Playing at the intimate venue, the British Pop Icon was joined by his band in a two-hour set that included an evening full of surprises – singing alongside four guest artists which he discovered through his Apple Beats 1 radio show.
Elton shared the stage with Rosie Lowie, Gallant, Parka Millsap and Christine and the Queens, collaborating on four songs respectively before ending the night singing Saturday Night’s Alright with all his guests.
His performance came two weeks after headlining BBC Radio 2 Festival in a Day at Hyde Park, where, for the first time in three years, he performed live in London. In front of 50,000 adoring fans, the illustrious singer-song writer bestowed songs upon the crowd spanning five decades, from I’m Still Standing to his recent single Good Heart taken from his latest album, Wonderful Crazy Night.
The 70-year old living musical legend will be performing for one night only in Derbyshire the following summer and a limited number of tickets and hospitality packages still available.
