The new in-house Derbyshire Experience team successfully delivered the Club’s biggest ever Christmas party season this December.
The Club held 10 party nights across a four-week period in four suites, with over 4,000 guests enjoying an evening at The 3aaa County Ground.
It was the first Christmas party season under the Club’s new in-house catering management team.
In the middle of the record-breaking party season, the Club were inspected by Derby City Council’s Environmental Health Officer and received a 4 star Good Food Hygiene Rating – a significant improvement from the Club’s previous rating earlier in 2015.
Since taking over in October, the new team has introduced improved food management processes and procedures, while more resources have been invested in equipment and maintenance as part of the Club’s commitment to improve standards for visitors of The 3aaa County Ground.
The Club have also continued to invest in its facilities, with the opening of a new Heritage Boardroom last month to complement the already improved 3aaa Pavilion following last winter’s £1million investment.
Phase two of the Cub’s overall ground development project, which includes a new £2million Media Centre, has now also begun.
Chief Executive, Simon Storey said: “The Club is committed to providing a safe, comfortable and authentic Derbyshire Experience for all guests at The 3aaa County Ground.
“The new in-house Derbyshire Experience team have worked exceptionally hard over the festive period, delivering over 4,000 covers at Christmas and feedback for our festive parties has been overwhelmingly positive.
“It’s been our biggest party season ever and all monies raised will be reinvested back into the Club, forming a critical part of the Derbyshire playing and coaching budget.
“Guests can be assured that the catering will be of the highest quality and the 4 star Food Hygiene Rating reinforces our commitment.
“We’re confident that our new catering team will continue to provide improved menus, increased levels of service at good value prices for Members, supporters and commercial guests, and the benefits of this will be experienced this season.”
