Help raise money, get active and enjoy an evening of NatWest T20 Blast cricketing action with the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation’s T20:20:20 sponsored walk, on Friday 21 July.
The sponsored event will see fundraisers walk the 20 miles from The 3aaa County Ground, Derby, to Trent Bridge, Nottingham, in time for the big Twenty20 fixture between Notts Outlaws and Derbyshire Falcons (6.30pm start, approx. 9.30pm finish).
Limited to just 300 places, all walkers will receive one adult ticket to the match at Trent Bridge, plus a sponsored walk t-shirt, an event pack and a pass for the dedicated coach back to Derby after the match.
The registration fee, of £20, also includes walk safety stewards for the 20-mile journey. All proceeds raised will go to the CDF (Charity No. 1155801) and will support the delivery of a range of community projects to young people across the county, using the power of sport.
Cricket Derbyshire Foundation Chairman, Michael Futers, said: “While providing a fun and active way to raise valuable funds for the foundation, the monies raises from this new fundraising initiative will help sustain and extend the positive lifestyle programme we are already delivering in the community across the city and the wider county.
“We want to use the power of sport to have a positive impact on the lives of young people in Derbyshire, and fundraising events like this are key to helping us deliver the highly rewarding programmes.
“Our first T20:20:20 sponsored walk should be a terrific day, with up to 300 spots available, and after a long active day, all walkers will be able to sit and relax at a big NatWest T20 Blast game in the evening.”
